We arrived at Swan Point Marina yesterday at 2:30 pm after 3 1/2 hours of jockeying for position in the channel with dozens of other boats all going different speeds. One hour was spent fighting the current and keeping out of each other’s (boats) way at the ICW closure point. Stressful day!! Some people should not be behind the wheel of a boat! The closure was due to training exercises by the Marines from Camp Lejeune. It was time to tie up and crack open a beer!

No wind finally!! But still cold 😦
We wake up to a beautiful sunrise and still no wind!! “Wheels up” at 6:45 am. I’m still wearing jeans and Steve’s still wearing his winter shorts so further south we go in search of warm weather!

One of the nautalus windows on the Hatteras. Looks cool at sunrise! Picture doesn’t do it justice
