“Wheels up” at 7:10 this morning and with not a lot of distractions along the shoreline of the Intracoastal Waterway, I got lots of training today. I’m having a great time learning the details of yacht cruising! We arrive at the pretty inlet of Isle of Palms Marina, Isle of Palms, South Carolina. Steve docked at the fuel dock to top off the tanks then moved to our slip for the night. We took advantage of the slightly warmer weather by taking a long walk with Abby. I spotted the marina store and we went in to look around. Great store! I bought a couple things for the boat, a turtle pillow and a couple coolie cups, and Steve said I was beginning to “nest.” Yes I suppose I am, I’m feeling pretty comfortable in my new home! I’m loving living on a boat and cruising! Then we headed over to the marina restaurant/bar and up to the top story bar for a beer and a nice chat with the bartender.
