Today our friends Richard and Jill took us to the Dolphin Research Center on Grassy Key and Brutus Seafood Market and Eatery in Marathon. Jill is a member of the Research Center and was an excellent guide. She knew the perfect time of day to visit so the spectator group was light and we were able to get up close and personal at the dolphin experiences. Fun place!!
Dolphin Research Center’s Mission – Through education, research and rescue, Dolphin Research Center promotes peaceful coexistence, cooperation and communication between marine mammals, humans and the environment we share with the well being of DRC’s animals taking precedence.
For lunch, Richard and Jill took us to one of their favorite places, Brutus Seafood Market and Eatery in Marathon and we chose the outdoor tiki dining. Cool place! They serve only fresh, locally caught seafood and all their menu items are made fresh daily. Hogfish sandwich was one of the specials for the day and Jill said if I’ve never had hogfish I should definitely give it a try. I hadn’t so I took her advice, thank you Jill! It was delicious! Best fish sandwich I’ve ever had!
Thank you Jill and Richard for a GREAT day!!
