Today, the wind was finally forecast to lay down for more than a day…so we made a run for Tahiti Beach, Elbow Cay! It is one of our favorite anchorages close to Marsh Harbour. The large area in the lee of Elbow Cay has always been only sparsely dotted with other anchored boats so we have plenty of privacy and the water, sand and view is beautiful.
Located on the southern tip of Elbow Cay, this picturesque beach with soft white sand is lined with palm trees and arcs out into calm clear water. It is secluded, accessible only on foot, bike or by boat. This is a perfect spot for swimming and to collect shells and sand dollars, especially during low tide when there is a seemingly endless sand bar.
