More awesome weather as we cruised the short distance yesterday from Tahiti Beach to Hope Town, both on Elbow Cay. “Wheels up” before sunrise so we could enjoy two full days of wandering around Hope Town.
By snagging the southernmost mooring ball in the harbor, we not only have some privacy and placidity, we are also in the lee for the next day’s afternoon storm. That’s my Captain! 😁 Then, with Abby on point, we jumped in the Whaler to go exploring.
I was delighted to see that very little had changed in this quaint and beautiful town since my last visit in 2006 (Steve moved back to the states shortly there after but visited again in 2007). We spent a leisurely two days exploring the harbor by dingy, walking the beautiful white sand beaches, shopping in the island style shops, and checking out some of our old haunts for a beverage and a bite to eat.
After today’s explorations, we were back on Who Cares before the predicted late afternoon thunderstorm and watched the show from our dry and comfortable perch on the fly bridge. We move back to our slip at the Marsh Harbor Marina tomorrow (company coming in the next day) but will most definitely be returning to Hope Town this trip.
