We are still enjoying beautiful weather at our favorite anchorage, Tahiti Beach on Elbow Cay, and plan to stay for a couple more days before moving on to Hope Town again. We continue to spend our days here kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, dinghy cruising, just relaxing on the boat while enjoying the view and, of course, our beach time! I think I have said this before 😁 I Love this tranquil and beautiful place!!!
The forest fires are still burning on the island of Abaco and bringing back many memories for “Fireman Steve,” as he was respectfully and affectionately called by government officials and the citizens of Abaco, of forest fires fought and managed during the years he was a vital member of the Marsh Harbour Volunteer Fire Department. The Fire Fighters continue to protect threatened properties in many areas of the island and are responding to more numerous calls as flames draw nearer to properties in Marsh Harbour.
The barrier islands, including Elbow Cay, are not in the path of the fire and smoke. We are very fortunate to have clear blue skies currently in our location. However, the towering plumes of smoke are ominous and visible from every island in the Abacos.

“It looks like Abby is waiting for me to say something intelligent…she’s going to be sitting there awhile”

A beach run. That’s Who Cares in the background.

Now THIS is a beer

It’s a Miller Lite of course. Yay for provisioning before we left Florida!

Cheers 😁

Family portrait 😂

Beautiful Abby and beautiful Tahiti Beach

Back to the mother ship
The fires on Abaco.

Cocktails in the cockpit, reminiscing about his years on the Marsh Harbour Fire Department ❤️ As the sun sets on the Abaco fires.
Once again, it’s a further jump than it looks 😂 But in my defense this is a level up from yesterday’s jump!
