September 21-23, 2017 – Hurricane Jose is forecast to stay off the northeast coast so we headed to Staten Island to be closer to the Jersey shore when weather permitted an ocean transit.  It was awesome to cruise under the Tappan Zee, George Washington and Varranzano bridges, pass by Yonkers, Jersey City, New York City, Manhattan, the Empire State Building, Freedom Tower, and Statue of Liberty…in your own home!!!

Staying a couple days at Mansion Marina in Great Kills Harbor on Staten Island, New York.  Cool little spot, great harbor and great restaurants!  Met up with sailing friends Bob and Phyllis and Jersey Bob came to visit again!

Hoping tomorrow’s weather will be favorable for an Atlantic Ocean transit along the New Jersey coast to Cape May!
